Gurmeet Choudhary is a big name in the world of television but many are not aware of his nick names. Yes, his family calls him Shashi Kapoor.
His nanaji kept his name ‘Shashi’. On the other hand, his wife Debina (Bonnerjee) and his friends call him ‘Guru’. In an interview with Tellychakkar.com, Gurmeet confessed that he likes when people call him by his nick name.
Gurmeet Choudhary better known as Maan Singh Khurana from Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi, did a small role in the movie ‘Koi Aap Sa’. He played a college friend to the actor Aftab Shivdasani.
Even before he gained popularity as Ram in Ramayan, Gurmeet had already made his small screen debut. In 2006, Gurmeet debuted as the lead negative character in Indian television’s first 3D TV series, Mayavi, a Tamil language production by GV Films for Jaya TV which was later dubbed for the Telugu and Malayalam television audiences. It was this show which won him a popular fan base in South India.
Before he became Mr. Ayodhya (Ram) Gurmeet Choudhary who played the mythological character of Lord Ram in Ramayan was crowned Mr Jabalpur.
