#FriendshipDay Special: 5 movies to NOT watch today

Friendships are special. They are one of the most important bonds we will have in our lives. From being there through the thick and thin to leading us toward things we have never heard of, friends are the reasons life is so colourful. But they are also the reasons we are always broke..erm. On Friendship Day, we take you through five movies that you should stay clear of! Do. Not. Watch. These. TODAY…read on:

Sangam:
I mean, come on! Why would you watch a movie where one of the friends is a certified douche, while the other friend voluntarily gives up his love? You don’t want such negativity in your life, do you? It’s perhaps the most famous love triangle in Bollywood, with Rajendra Kumar and Raj Kapoor vying for Vyjayantimala’s affection. She is kinda crazy too! She keeps oscillating between the two dosts. You don’t want this. Watch it on a Saturday night when you’re sloshed.

Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na:
Agreed, it’s a cute movie with many aww-worthy moments, but it should be avoided today. Why, you ask? Well, you’ve been giving subtle hints to your best friend about your not-so romantic interest in him/her. But this movie will not only give him/her hope about friends falling in love, he/she will also expect you to take the first step. Damn it. Even if you’re planning to watch this movie alone, don’t. Because you might get confused by the script and actually end up making a stupid decisions. Don’t complicate your life. Avoid this Genelia Deshmukh-Imran Khan starrer today. Watch it some other day, buddy.

Ajnabee:
Your friends might not be psychos masquerading as buddies, but this flick will sow some doubts in your mind for sure. Even though Bobby Deol gets chummy with Akshay Kumar in firang land after just a couple of encounters, the way Akshay makes Bobby’s life hell will give you shivers. AVOID. And no, that friend of yours who always borrows money isn’t into contract killing! See, doubts already!

Gupt:
Well, need we say anything more? Three buddies, two lovers, one killer. Unrequited love can be heart-breaking. But what’s worse is when the spurned lovers start slashing everybody! Do you want this? We don’t think so. Kajol might be lauded for her role, but her reel character is the last person we want to hang out with today.

Kai Po Che:
We know that it’s about the bond between three friends. But their bond goes horribly wrong, with one of the friends getting killed accidentally. Sushant Singh Rajput and Amit Sadh clash and break off their friendship over religious differences, eventually reconnecting. But only to end up hating each other. Arguments among friends are healthy and necessary. As long as weapons and religions are not allowed. Also, not all brothers are okay with their best buddy getting their little sister pregnant. Just a word of caution, you know!
