Rohit Shetty is the man of the moment. After delivering yet another 100 crore through Singham, news now trickles in that the man will helm the remake of Subhash Ghai's iconic 1989 classic, Ram Lakhan. And joining hands with Rohit in this big venture are Subhash Ghai and Karan Johar whose production houses will be co-producing it. It is rumoured that Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan have reportedly been signed to essay the lead roles of Ram and Lakhan respectively. While there is no word out yet on the female leads yet, unconfirmed reports suggest that Alia may be roped in signalling the return of the Student of the Year troika. The original Ram Lakhan, directed and produced by Subhash Ghai had Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor essaying the lead roles with Dimple Kapadia and Madhuri Dixit joining the two as heroines. With Rohit directing the remake, it would be interesting to see how this one pans out. The movie is set to release in 2016.
