MUMBAI: Known for films like Badlapur, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Sui Dhaaga, Varun Dhawan is one of the most talented actors in B-town. He has carved a niche for himself in the industry and enjoys a huge fan following. He will be next seen in films like Street Dancer 3D and Coolie No. 1. 

The actor has also been signed on to play the lead in Sriram Raghavan's Ekkis, which is a biopic on the life of martyr Arun Khetarpal. He's also discussing a film with Shashank Khaitan which he's verbally agreed on. Apart from these few films, the Badlapur actor is also in talks with another filmmaker for a masala entertainer. A source, close to the development, told Pinkvilla, "Prabhudheva had been planning to direct a film which is again in the action comedy space. He has already discussed the idea with Varun and it's still at a very nascent stage. Both of them have been waiting to collaborate on a project and it just couldn't work out a previous time because of schedules. But this time, they have decided to join hands but the project will take some time to take off." 

Both of them are busy with their other respective films. "Prabhu has been brought on board to direct another film with Salman Khan for next Eid. Radhe: India's Most Wanted Cop rolls out on 4 November and the filmmaker-choreographer will be busy with that till next June. He will then begin pre-production and scripting on his next that he plans to make with Varun. The actor, on the other hand, wraps up Coolie No.1 and straightaway dives into Sriram's Ekkis."
