Hemraj asks as to Chanchal's opinion of Naren's selection for Nandini. Chanchal praises Nandini, describing her as perceptive and intelligent, adding that one wouldn't find another person like him.

Naren's mother, Chanchal, gifts Nandini jewellery and asks her about her preferences. Nandini responds that all the jewellery is pretty, but what she truly desires are their blessings and a Mangalsutra.

Naren and Nandini's marriage was fixed, and Hemraj decided to have their wedding in one month.

Nandini's emotional confession to her friend made it clear that she respected Naren's father for being a moral man who opposed dowries, which calmed her worries about making her uncle contribute to the wedding.

Nandini and Naren's relationship changed as Vishakha's wedding unfolded. Nandini wrote Naren's first "N" on her mehendi. Hemraj told Chanchal that Sujan's daughter would be an ideal match for Naren.

Naren told Nandini that his father, Seth Hemraj Ratan Singh, was a prominent figure in the Akhil Bharatiya Sindhu Sonawar community, and nobody dared to tempt his father with dowry.
