The actress is returning to the big screen after a long hiatus, posted several behind-the-scenes pictures from the Rajkumar Santoshi film's sets on Tuesday night. Preity shared the photos on her official Instagram account along with the hashtags ‘new movie’ and ‘shooting.’

He along with Salim Khan were called Salim-Javed and the duo have written some iconic movies for Indian cinema like Zanjeer, Deewar, Don, Yaadon Ki Baarat, among many others. Javed has now opened up about his split with Salim.

However, his private life and marriages with screenwriter and actor Honey Irani, as well as with actor Shabana Azmi, are very widely known.

In a recent interview, Javed shared about his complicated relationship with his dad and his turbulent relationship with his stepmother that led to him living apart from his father.

The film also stars Kiara Advani and is already in pre-production, but fans are eager to see how Ranveer and Kiara will carry on the legendary roles that Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra previously held. The most recent information is that the movie will start shooting early next year.

However when the first picture recognizing him as the new Don appeared on social media, several people criticized and ridiculed him for taking Shah Rukh Khan's place in the franchise. The actor has now discussed the same thing and described it as "natural."

He has penned lyrics of several chart busters and among them also includes Dard-e-Disco from the Shah Rukh Khan- Deepika Padukone starrer Om Shanti Om. Akhtar however revealed that director Farah Khan demanded some pretty meaningless lyrics for the song.
