Mahesh Manjrekar marks his Marathi digital debut with ZEE5’s Kaale Dhande

Mahesh who is remembered for his dancing skills in <em> Jhalak Dikhla Ja</em> and his current stint as a judge on a reality show will now woo small screen viewers with his acting. Though the director cum actor has acted in Marathi serials he has not yet been seen in a Hindi serial. Mahesh makes his debut with a serial titled <em> Monica Mogre</em> on Zee Next.

Sonia Jaffer was Mahesh Manjrekar's partner in Sony's reality dance show <em>Jhalak Dhikla Ja.</em> To her goes the credit of making a non-dancer like Mahesh come out with unique steps episode after episode. There are reports that she has been beaten up badly and raped by her former boyfriend, Serin Panicker. But the girl has the courage to lodge a complaint against him and bring him to books. We spoke to her guide and mentor, Salsa trainer Sandeep Soparkar under whom she trained for dancing.

To be a part of a dance show can be quite taxing, especially when you have so many things on your plate. Mahesh Manjerakar dabbles with production, direction and acting with the same ease as he gyrates on the dance floor. And now this multi-facted has taken up theatre, which he admits, acts as a stress-buster from the gruelling dance sessions! The play in question is Mahesh Dattani's (of the play<em> Mad About Money </em>fame) bi-lingual (Hinglish) play, tentatively titled<em> Blood Money,</em> which is expected to be staged in October.
