Main Aisi Kyun Hoon

Unpredictability is the nick name of the Indian television industry, which never flatters to deceive. Currently, this unpredictability is palpable on Sahara One. Playtime Creations’ <em> Main Aisi Kyun Hoon</em>, which was earlier reported to be going off air, has now been given an extension till July.

Aamir Dalvi (aka Rajiv of <em> Saathi Re</em> fame) has stepped into Sahara One’s <em> Main Aisi Kyun Hoon.</em> On the first day of his shoot, the actor had quite an interesting experience with his co-star Nazneen Patel, who plays Sanjana in the show.

Her show may not be attracting enough eyeballs but Nazneen Patel is more than excited to show off her accessory collection. The Mumbai girl has a fetish for ethnic jewellery which she uses for her show <em> Main Aisi Kyun Hoon</em> on Sahara One. Says Nazneen, “I’m the only one in the television industry to wear such jewellery. Small screen actresses have to don a traditional look with gaudy sarees and heavy jewellery. However, rather than usual stuff, I prefer ethnic jewellery. I wear those silver bangles which fall all way down to my palm. There’s also the necklace and the anklet.”

Amit Dolawat who rose to fame as Kay Kay in <em> Kesar</em> is grinning from ear to ear. After the success of his last show <em> Saat Phere </em> as Sridhar, he’s entered as Dev in Zee’s<em> Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan</em>. And he is a happy man. “It’s a very different role. With my entry in the show there are many twists and turns lined up and I’m looking forward to the serial,” says Amit

One look at Anokhi Srivastava is enough to convince your heart that this is my-girl-next-door, one who'll be liked by your parents too. The irony of this tale is that looks can be deceiving and it certainly holds true for our presumably girl-next-door Anokhi Srivastava. Anokhi means different and this pretty damsel is indeed unlike her name. In fact, she admits to being a tomboy. Her character in <em>Main Aisi Kyun Hoon </em> is one of a traditional<em> bahu</em>. So, how does this tomboy fit into the shoes of a typical<em>bahu</em>?

For a character to shine it's important that the person portraying it bears resemblance to it. Seldom does one find such artists. In our fictional world of tellywood, it's next to nil. However, for once we find an actor that's almost a mirror reflection of her character. The producers of <em>Main Aisi Kyun Hoon</em> couldn't have found a better protagonist than Nazneen Patel.
