IPL seemed to have taken a toll again when it comes to the ratings of GECs. But, as far as the rating table is concerned, there has not been much of a change in terms of positioning. Star Plus remains the numero uno channel with 253 GRPs. Zee TV, Sony TV and Colors maintain their second, third and fourth positions with 163,160 and 156 GRPs, respectively. SAB TV and Life OK are perched at position fifth (137 GRPs) and sixth (110 GRPs). This week it’s pretty clear that the IPL has started affecting the General Entertainment Channels (GECs) as their ratings have taken a plunge. However interestingly, Sony Entertainment Television has managed to get better numbers than Colors.

The TAM Ratings for week 13 have finally arrived. Here’s what the world of numbers suggest. Star Plus maintains its numero uno position with Star Plus getting 291 GRPs. Zee TV, Colors and Sony maintained their second, third and fourth positions with 207, 191 and 175 GRPs, respectively. SAB TV and Life OK stay at fifth and sixth places with the former getting 159 and the later 119 GRPs. Week 12 TRPs have finally arrived and the top rated channels have managed to get better GRPs while the ones who were already low at the rating front have dipped even further. Star Plus remained the number one channel in week 12 with 291 GRPs while, Zee TV and Colors maintained their second and third position with 207 and 192 GRPs, respectively. Sony TV stood fourth yet again but its numbers dipped even further from 163 GRPs in Week 11. It stood at 155 in Week 12. SAB TV and Life OK remained fifth and sixth with 142 and 128 GRPs, respectively. Sahara One managed to get 24 GRPs.

TAM ratings of week 11 are here and once again not much has changed in terms of numbers. Star Plus remains in the top most position with 273 GRPs while Zee TV maintains its second position with 202 GRPs. In week 10 Zee TV was just one point ahead of Colors but, this time it left it back with a few more numbers as Colors gets 187 GRPs, putting it in the third position. Furthermore, Sony Entertainment Television remains fourth in this number race but, it climbs a few more numbers to garner 163 GRPs which is a rise in comparison to 155 GRPs in week 10.

Week 10 of TAM Ratings witnessed a severe drop in GRPs of most of the channels except Star Plus. This numero uno channel managed to rise above all, yet again, with 271 GRPs. In this number race Colors once again failed to get back to its second position by just a point as Zee TV garnered 215 GRPs while Colors bagged 214. Quite a close tiff, we must say. Moving on Sony, SAB TV and Life OK maintained their fourth, fifth and sixth positions with 155, 135 and 126 GRPs respectively. <strong>Ratings of Channels: </strong> Star Plus 271 [265] Zee TV 215 [226] Colors 214[220]

TAM ratings of week 9 have finally arrived after a week-long wait. Once again Star Plus finds itself in the numero uno position with 265 GRP while Zee TV, Colors and Sony maintain their second, third and fourth position with 226, 220 and 170 GRPs respectively. SAB TV has managed to get back to its fifth position with 138 GRP, while Life OK falls to the sixth place from its fifth position last week with 132 GRP. In week 8 of TAM ratings, Star Plus remains in its numero uno position with 248 GRP while Colors’ climbs up to the second position with 235 GRP. Zee TV that had managed to remain in the second position for quite some time now has slumped to the third position with 231 GRP. Sony, Life OK and SAB TV maintain their fourth, fifth and sixth position respectively with 188, 144 and 138 GRP. Week 7 TRPs have finally arrived but not much has changed as far as the positioning of the channels is concerned. Star Plus remains number one with 259 GRPs while Zee TV and Colors take second and third position with 226 and 205 GRPs respectively. The Week 6 ratings of 2013 have arrived. Star Plus holds on to its supremacy with 264 GRP while Zee TV secures the second position with a GRP of 243. Colors is the # 3 channel with 206 GRP.
