The Great Indian Comedy Show

Given that no one in his family had ever joined TV, Kiku Sharda admitted that at first, he was apprehensive about doing so. His career started when his friend and the producer of the TV series Hatim, Shakti Anand, suggested that he play the role of Hobo in the serial.

Sony Entertainment Television is coming up with a new reality show which would be one of its kind. The reality show which is named <em> Ustaadon Ka Ustaad</em> will run for a span of six days. The show will be the war of titans where in the winners and talented participants from different reality shows across channels will compete for the title.

The continuous spoofs by Vinay Pathak on Mahesh Bhatt on <em>The Great Indian Comedy Show</em> were really appreciated by the 'real' Bhatt saab. He loved it so much that he actually landed on the set of '<em>The Great Indian Comedy Show</em> to support Vinay. The act that is called 'Butt Naturally' takes special interest in the histrionics of Mahesh Bhatt, who is quiet a colourful character himself. The makers of <em>The Great Indian Comedy Show</em> have been spoofing every possible genre of entertainment on Star One. Tonight will be the turn of Zoom's celeb anchor Pooja Bedi who hosts the chat show <em>Just Pooja</em>. Manini Mihir Misra, well Manini De for those who know Jassi's Pari, plays Pooja tonight on Star One in a short spoof on the show called Trust Pooja where she interviews the very hot Katrina Kaif (played by Sonali Rai Kakkar).

The small screen is known to bring in celebs from it's the big screen. But this time, the celebs comes with a style of his own. Known for sizzlers <em>Teri Toh, Teri Tah<em> the rock band Bombay Rockers will now appear on Star One's <em>The Great Indian Comedy Show (TGICS)</em>.

It's celebration time on Star One. Its dailies are on a run riot! This month all three will complete 100 episodes. First to reach the 100 mark was <em>Remix</em> --- a show on the trials and tribulations of school going kids, that has caught the fancy of teenagers mostly due to its funky and in the face language. Produced by the brother sister duo, Shrishti Arya and Goldie Behl, <em>Remix</em> is one of the few shows on Star One that is really doing well. The entire cast had a blast, although they arrived late for their own party, as they were busy shooting in Pune till late on Saturday.

Makarand Deshpande has made a niche for himself by his whacky hairdos and now he will let his hair down on the sets of <em>The Great Indian Comedy Show</em>, where he will appear for a special gag. We have seen him play a gangster and a Sufi singer, but we haven't really seen him showcase his comic brilliance on the telly. Will Makarand Deshpande survive the boot camp of comedy?
