Having directed three films for Yashraj Films, Kabir Khan has now moved on. His next directorial venture would be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Putting this significant movement on-record Kabir says, “Yes, my next film is not produced by Yashraj but Sajid Nadiadwala. Aditya Chopra (at the helm of Yashraj) and I have worked together on three very important films. I’ve enjoyed my association with Adi and Yashraj thoroughly. And I’d love to do another film with Yashraj in future. But my next film is for Sajid Nadiadwala.”

In what could be regarded as a major breakthrough in the alliance between commercial and off-mainstream cinema, avant-garde filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee who has earlier made out-of-the-box films for prominent production houses like PVR (<em>Shanghai</em>) and Balaji Films (<em>Love Sex Aur Dokha</em>) has now moved into the super-league. Last week at a hush-hush meeting Dibakar finally shook hands with Yashraj’s team after weeks of negotiation. He would be directing his next film, a whodunit set in Kolkata, for Yashraj Films.

With two UTV Films, a Yashraj production and Raj Kumar Hirani’s next in his repertoire, Sushant Singh Rajput is going places. Done with Ranveer Singh’s flamboyance for now, we hear Yashraj Films is adamant on utilizing and promoting the talents of Sushant Singh Rajput to the optimum. While Sushant has been signed for one major project by Yashraj the banner is, according to a source, “a hundred percent keen” to sign this much in-demand newcomer for two other projects.

Fed up of the controversies surrounding the Diwali battle between <em>Son Of Sardaar (SOS) </em>and <em>Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ)</em>, Ajay has left with Kajol and his two children for a holiday in Goa, thereby killing two birds with one stone. He not only avoided any further post-release comparisons and controversies he also managed to get his wife out of the dilemma regarding attending the premiere of Yashraj Films’ <em>Jab Tak Hai Jaan.</em> Said a source, “Ajay, Kajol and family would be in Goa until the whole SOS-JTHJ controversies and comparisons cool down.”

Yashraj Films won’t screen the new Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger for the family of the former RAW agent Ravindra Kaushik. The family of the deceased agent has sent the makers of <em>Ek Tha Tiger</em> a legal notice asking for a screening of the film. However, a decision has been taken by the production house and director Kabir Khan to keep the film and its content away from public domain. Kabir Khan proclaims, “I read about him in the papers. This is the first time I’ve heard of him. It’s an interesting story. But it’s not the story of my film.”
