MUMBAI: Comedy king Sanjay Kohli and his better half Binaifer Kohli know their business best. Their production house Edit II Productions has given many hits. From the cult show F.I.R and Family No 1 to Waris, Edit II Productions has constantly been entertaining viewers.

Recently, the dynamic makers launched a new comedy show titled Happu Ki Ultan Paltan.

Speaking about the initial feedback on the show, Binaifer says, ‘We feel blessed that the first couple of episodes received great appreciation and love from the audience. We love our audiences for the support they give us.’

Praising writer Manoj Santoshi, Binaifer says, ‘People talk about the characters of our shows and the titles of our shows. I would like to give this credit to our writer Manoj Santoshi. He is an extremely creative person. I feel the characters are real, and the audience can relate to them because of him. For example, the famous jodi of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, Teeka and Malkhan are the portrayal of childhood friends created by Sanjay Kohli, Shashank Bali, and Manoj. So everyone would see some of the traits of the characters in their life.’

Lastly, she adds, ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan is very different from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai as a serial. It is going tickle the audience’s funny bone in every aspect.’

With oil-slicked hair on his forehead, the potbellied, corrupt inspector Happu Singh, is the lead character of Happu Li Ultan Paltan. Yogesh Tripathi plays the protagonist, Happu Singh.
