The kid wonders of television: Karn and Hanuman

The kid wonders of television: Hanuman and Karn

What’s even more epic than a grand mythological drama?

Super kids acing their roles with élan, right? Of course, we are talking about Sony Entertainment Televsion’s talented missiles, Ishant Bhanushali of Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman and Vishesh Bansal of Suryaputra Karn, who are on a roll on the small screen. While Sony TV is known for its engaging content, it’s also come into our attention for perfect casting and acting abilities. We tell you why the two kids are rocking our daily dose of drama…take a look:

Vishesh Bansal (Suryaputra Karn):

Even though history was rather unreasonable with Karn, this TV series attempts to give the warrior his rightful place in the Mahabharata. Playing the younger version of the valiant hero is Vishesh Bansal, who has a bunch of TV shows to his name already. It comes as no surprise that he is delivering a stellar performance episode after episode. Be it his clear diction, crisp acting, powerful stunts or the heart-wrenching emotional scenes, the kid shows his talent like no other. It also helps that the sets are fantastic and add a touch of grandeur to the proceedings. Thankfully, unlike most soppy melodramas that choose to disregard Karn in favour of Arjun, the former is being depicted as an equally talented warrior in this series. Hats off to the makers for getting this right!

Ishant Bhanushali (Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman):

Another magnum opus creating ripples on the small screen is the story of Hanuman, who’s known for his loyalty, vigour and power. Taking us through the colourful childhood of the feisty Hanuman is Ishant Bhanushali. The young boy knows exactly how to emote and how much to. He doesn’t let the opulence of the sets and clothes overwhelm him. That’s a feat in itself because those playing the role of Hanuman tend to become conscious due to their physical appearance. But Ishant doesn’t let such things bother him. Well, that’s what we love about him and the show! From keeping the innocence of the young Hanuman intact to clearly showing sparks of his future ferocious self, the makers have got the character bang on. We are hoping for more such awe-inspiring moments in the series. What about you guys?

Which little star is your favourite? Is it the dhanush-wielding Karn or the gada-sporting Hanuman? Let us know now!
