What do you enjoy the most, serials or films?
I enjoy TV serials the most. Because I get an opportunity to go into every house on a regular basis and everyone watches TV all the time.
What's your role in Hum 2 Hain Na?
Hum 2 Hain Na, an adaptation of the Latin American series Complices Al Rescate (Friends To The Rescue) is a story of separated teenage twins Kareena and Koel played by me. I am enjoying it like hell. Who gets an opportunity to play double roles so early in life?
How do you manage school and acting?
I am in the 8th standard at Podar International. We use laptops to study. We don't need to make notes. We use digital boards with colourful pencils. There is a TV in the class. My mother makes sure that my shoot schedules are after 2 pm. My principal is very co-operative. When I had to go on a 20 day shoot for a film in Canada and my exam dates were clashing with it, principal made an adjustment so that I could take the exams after I came back. So things are smooth on both fronts.
How do your classmates react to your star status?
They are all good to me. They appreciate me and are not jealous in any way.
Who do you credit for your success?
I owe my success to three people - my mom Dr. Mona Motwani, Aruna Irani and my school principal Vandana Lulla. They motivate me enough to be successful.
How was it working with Amitabh and Dimple in the film Hum Kaun Hai?
It was a great experience. I learnt the most from Maushami Chatterjee who is playing my nanny in the film, besides Amitabh uncle and Dimple aunty. I was pampered a lot. I can't reveal the story but I can tell you it's a thriller and I am present in 74 scences out of 94 scenes in the film. My character's name is Saara and Dimple aunty is playing my mom.
How was the experience of working in a sci fi film like Koi… Mil Gaya?
I enjoyed it. I do believe that there can be aliens. An interesting coincidence is that I had signed Koi… Mil Gaya on 9 August and after two years it was released on the same date.
Do you miss a normal teenager's life?
I don't, as I live a normal life just like any other girl of my age! I do all the things I want to do. My mother takes very good care of me and makes sure I am happy and organized.
Don't you want to be a doctor like your mother?
I have no interest in science as such. I would like to become a heroine when I grow up.
Who inspires you the most?
Aruna Irani. Paresh Rawal's comedy also inspires me but I have yet to meet him.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like listening to Hindi and English pop music. I love to play badminton and go for swimming. I am not very fond of reading books.
How did you feel on being invited as a chief guest on 15th August in your own school?
It was a great feeling. I did flag hosting and lots of kids asked me questions. Last year also I was the chief guest on Independence Day. Infact I had also cut the ribbon of junior K.G. class in my school some time back. I don't remember the names of the organizations but I have also visited underprivileged children.
What are your ambitions now?
It was my dream to meet Amitabh Bacchan. That dream has been fulfilled. My current ambition is to my complete 8th standard while doing Hum 2 hain Na. I was thinking of quitting acting for some time but the offer of Hum 2 Hain Na was so tempting that I couldn't say No. In the 9th standard I will think what to do next.
