Producer Rajan Shahi believes in giving opportunities to new talents and to encourage youngsters to take up acting and get successful in their careers. After giving a break to many fresh faces from Sara Khan, Parul Chauhan, Hina Khan, Karan Mehra, Angad Hasija, Shrenu Parikh, he has now launched complete newcomers in Mishkat Varma and Kaanchi Singh in his new show on Zee TV, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. Talking about his new leads, Rajan exclaims, “I saw Mishkat’s photographs from his modelling days and called him for an audition. He has a nice face and the perfect blend of charm and innocence. Kaanchi is a very beautiful and lively girl. The plus point about her is that she has the innocence needed for the story. I see them as very convincing for this young love story.” On his new offering Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, the ace Producer says, “It is a different show as there has not been a fresh youth love story. I have always wanted to make a love story between two youngsters, but had no story in mind. Later, I decided to find the two people and then frame the story according to their auras. I am happy that I have finally made it, and am excited about it. The story will show everything, from falling in love to the gradual successions in the relationship.” On his show providing the perfect comeback platform for actress Reena Kapoor, Rajan states, “I needed a calm and poised looking lady to play this part as this is a very pivotal role. Reena fits the bill perfectly and we finalized her in the first meeting itself. All fell in place as she was very positive about the script.” Ask him about his future plans and pat comes an affirmative reply, “The year 2013 was really good. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is still in the top five shows and is doing well. 2013 has been a productive year for me. Having said this, 2013 was more of preparation and 2014 is a year full of action.” Way to go, Rajan!!!
