Says a source, “Due to low ratings, we have decided to pull it off air. But the murmurs are also that the show is going off air just for a month and will return in January. We have shot some episodes which will be aired for now.”

The latest buzz is that Aahat has been consistently failing to fetch decent TRPs for the channel for the past few months. The latest ratings are about 0.4 to 0.5. And so now the rumour is the show might get the axe.
Says a source, “Due to low ratings, we have decided to pull it off air. But the murmurs are also that the show is going off air just for a month and will return in January. We have shot some episodes which will be aired for now.”
Adds another source, “The show needs re-formatting and re-framing. So they are planning something big. And it will be back as the old Aahat and not like the new series. It will be re-framed like the earlier episodes of Aahat, which was a bi-weekly with regular episodes unlike the present episodes with celebrities. And it’s just a month’s break for the show.”
Producer BP Singh refused to comment on this.
All efforts to reach Ajay Balwankar, Fiction Head Sony were futile.
