Aanchal Khurana approached to play the main female lead in Sagar Pictures' next on Zee TV

Sagar Pictures, that produced the mythological show Ramayan, is now working on a new show for Zee TV. And this time it will not be a mytho but a daily drama. The show is tentatively based on the concept of famous Bollywood film Jamai Raja that featured Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Hema Malini. We hear that the casting for the show is in full swing and the shooting of the same will start from the first week of April. The makers plan to air the show sometime after the upcoming IPL (Indian Premier League) season. According to our sources, Aanchal Khurana, currently seen in Zee TV’s Sapne Suhane… has been approached to play the main female lead. It is said that her character would be similar to that played by Madhuri. To get more information on the same, when we buzzed Aanchal, she shared, “Yes, I have given a look test and am waiting for their response. But I wish to work in this upcoming project and desire to quit Sapne Suhane...once I get that show. I want to explore and portray different roles. But at the end, it all depends on the channel that will take the final call. So let’s see how things work.” Fair enough! Let’s see if Aanchal will quit Sapne Suhane… and go on to sign the new show.
