With actors like Sangeeta and Ruslaan around, you get to learn so much everyday: Nabeel Ahmed

Nabeel Ahmed
Remember the young boy Nabeel Ahmed mimicking his mom Amrita Raichand in the ‘Nirma Shudh Namak’ ad? Well, today the boy has grown up and is currently seen playing the mischievous Advait in Sony Entertainment Television’s popular show Kehta Hai Dil…Jee Le Zara (Rose Audio Visuals Pvt Ltd). Talking about his journey on TV, the young actor says, “I started my career when I was just three and a half years old acting in TV commercials. Till today I have done close to 160 ads and the one that made me popular was the Nirma salt advertisement.” “My parents were keen on me doing just ads as they hardly took more than a couple of days. As a matter of fact, they did not want me to compromise on my studies. But now that I am in my final year of college, I took up this show.” Nabeel further goes on to add that the show is proving to be a great experience for him. “With actors like Sangeeta (Ghosh) and Ruslaan (Mumtaz) around, you get to learn so much every day. And with all of us gelling well, we have a lot of fun shooting together,” he adds. Talking about his character, Nabeel reveals, “The character that I am playing is very close to what I am in real life. Like Advait, I am the youngest in the family and everyone pampers me a lot. Similarly, I am also very mischievous but ambitious like him.” The actor, who is in his final year of BMS and is also a cricket player and has trained in Kung Fu Karate, is also gearing up for his first big screen project. “I will soon be seen in the Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan-starrer Shaadi Ke Side Effects that will be releasing next year. I would love to do a variety of shades and most definitely an action movie,” he ends.
