After my first show failed, I thought I will never get work- Ankit Narang

The very good looking and cute Ankit Narang who is dabbling with the roles of an old alcoholic and a young guy in Balaji Telefilms’ Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Sony TV) respectively is finally ‘satisfied’ as an actor. Talking about his feelings, Ankit says, “I am really enjoying playing two very different characters at the same time. I am getting to enhance my range as an actor at the moment, and that is surely giving me a high. And after having performed well as Soham in Pavitra Rishta, it’s definitely a challenge to maintain my standard and present Khush’s character in the same way.” On the difficulties he faces to get into these characters, the actor states, “Well to be honest I really had a difficult time getting into the character of Soham where I had to speak typical Bihari language. But then after playing the character for one and a half years I am so much into it that now playing Khush is actually getting difficult. He is such a real life character that portraying the character is a hard task. A lot of controlled emotions and expressions have to be given,” answered the actor. Also coming on board of Bade Achhe has given the actor the chance to work with biggies like Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. Speaking highly about them Ankit avers, “I have never come across such supportive people in my life. They are always encouraging you and ready to give inputs to better your performance. Also Ekta (Kaul) is a great co-actor and even though she has been in the show before me, she has no hang ups and is always very supportive.” The actor who was away from the TV screen after his first show Tum Dena Saath Mera further explains, “Well, after Tum Dena Saath Mera bombed, I started thinking that maybe it failed because of my performance and I will never ever get work. But thankfully Pavitra Rishta happened and today I am happily handling two very beautiful roles.” And when asked about rumours of him dating Sonarika Bhadoria, Ankit quips, “Of course she is special since we both started our career together. But now we are not much in contact since we both are busy with our lives and hardly get time to interact.” And finally Ankit spoke about how close Balaji Telefilms has become to him. “It’s actually my home. Since I spend the whole day on the sets, I really enjoy my time here. And since the sets are also on the same place, I am well sorted. Home is the place I go back only to sleep (laughs).” Ankit, we wish you all the very best for your career.
