Akhlaque and Aleeza's 'engaged' prank on April Fool's Day

Akhlaque Khan and Aleeza Khan

Now the first of April is definitely a day when people get their devilish streak out and make all efforts to cook up an exciting prank to fool their friends.

But what happens when you actually become the joke!

Akhlaque Khan who is known for his portrayal in shows like Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha and Baawre on the night of 31st March updated his relationship status as ‘Engaged’. And minutes later his very good friend Aleeza Khan (Pyaar Ka Dard Hai) also did the same tagging him as the one engaged to.

Soon comments and wishes started pouring in and plans for the marriage was in full go!

But the two were left in a fix when the prank got really serious.

Talking about it Akhlaque mentioned, “I had updated the status when Aleeza too did it around the same time. So I sent her a text saying that lets enjoy the fun by tagging each other. Since we are really good friends and also have the same surname it was easier to fool people.”

“But I realised it was actually getting too serious when my friends started calling me late in the night fighting with me to have not informed me about the relationship. They went on discussing about my marriage and gifts making me quite uncomfortable. And all hell broke loose when my parents also took it seriously and started questioning me. My dad even convinced my mom completely and they are now ready to fly down and fix up the marriage soon. That’s when I realised that I had to stop the joke now,” the actor added.

Funny? Isn’t it???

“I have had been fooled, made a lot of jokes on my friends, but I think this is the biggest prank of my life. I am surprised that people who did not care to connect for so long have also taken notice of me with this status,” Akhlaque added with a laugh. “But now I am sure when I do get married, no one will take me seriously.”

We also reached out to Aleeza who laughed to say, “Yes we decided to play a prank on our friends and you won’t believe our friends were on the status discussing our married life. It was hilarious. I hope people get their ‘misconception’ about our marriage now. But I am so happy that my friends love and trust me so much to have believed it. I won’t disappoint anyone by revealing my engagement like this, would surely announce it in a better way though. But for now, Happy April Fool guys!!!”

This was definitely a ‘baap’ of prank guys!!!
