Arjun Punjj seems to have finally decided to stick to television! He is back as Raj in SaharaOne's Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki, after trying unsuccessfully to gain a footing in Bollywood.
"Yes, I am back. I am really happy to be back. I realised how popular the character was. I had gone to Hong Kong recently, and there people recognised me as Raj and asked me to come back on the show. I never wanted to leave, it was just that I had certain issues that have been sorted out now," says Arjun, who has started shooting from 19 December.

The show at the moment is at a very important crossroads. Raj is believed to be dead, but he is all set to return, if the promos are to be believed (something that we know for a fact). What is surprising is that the scene shown in the promo has Kashif's reflection on the photo frame...how do the makers plan to replace him without creating a confusion in the minds of the audience is something that needs to be seen.
A little bird tells us that the due to this constant change in lead, the makers have to re-shoot portions that have been shot with the last lead. For example, when Arjun left, major portions had to be re shot with Kashif and now that he is back, portions have to be re shot with Arjun -- scenes that had been shot earlier with Kashif. This should be a major cause for worry both for the production house and the channel. The artists too must be feeling let down.
"I am happy for Arjun, but bad for Kashif. It's not fair for anybody to be treated this way at the beginning of his career. He was a nice guy and was very excited when he started to shoot for the show. When I realised that he will be replaced I was speechless and personally speaking I am really sad. But Arjun has done a good job in the past...and it is peobably good for the show," sighs Reena Kapoor, who probably has to bear the brunt of all these changes as she has most of her scenes with whoever plays Raj.
We asked Arjun, if he has been following Kashif in Woh... after he quit and will the audiences accept him now, he says, "No I have not been able to catch up on it...but I know that the story has gone forward. Well, if he had been accepted then I wouldn't be back...would I?" says a confident Arjun.
Well, one man's joy is another man's misery?
