Balika Vadhu to complete 1000 successful episodes on 14 May

Balika Vadhu produced by Sphere Origins is a show that has earned a cult status in the realm of Hindi television. Who can forget the early days when the nation cried along with young and inspiring Avika Gor? Post leap, beautiful and talented Pratyusha Banerjee has been portraying the role of Anandi with lot of conviction and heart. The show is one of the highest rated ones in Colors and it is all set to set a benchmark by completing thousand successful episodes on 14 May 2012. At a time when a show goes off air within months of its launch, to entertain fans for such a long period is indeed a commendable feat. “I believe I am the luckiest person on TV to be a part of a well established show. However, at the same time I consider myself to be the worst actor amongst the lot when compared to Surekha Sikri, Anoop Soni, Pratyusha Banerjee and Anjum Farooki. They are all really good with their work but I will have to tell that we as a team at Balika work really hard to make every scene better than the way it is written and we will continue doing that,” shares Shashank Vyas aka Jagya. Anoop Soni, better known as Bhairon on the show, says, “This show has been a trendsetter in every possible way. Be it from using simple camera techniques and letting the actors act by not showing their reactions three to four times on the screen or getting in a child artist as the lead, Balika has experimented a lot. And we are happy that we are completing thousand episodes very soon.” Furthermore, Anjum Farooki aka Gauri too has been very content and satisfied with her journey in the soap. “I have had a very satisfying journey as an actor. I started as a chirpy girl who went on to dole out some intense emotions. I think this show has given me a lot of opportunity as an actor and I am happy to be a part of it.” Finally, producer Sunjoy Wadhawa shares, “The show has completed three years and is in its fourth year, however, when we started it we were not sure how the audience would take it. Though we knew we were in for a critical acclaim. The numbers have been a surprise to us. The credit goes to the incredible team we have and also Avika Gor for the show started with her and she performed brilliantly then.
