Zee's popular serial Hum Pannch is set to make a comeback with new epsiodes but Choti aka Priyanka Mehra has refused to act in it. "I was young when Hum Paanch first happened. Now that I have grown up, I want to play a role that suits my age," she laments. Priyanka who tried her hand at acting, went on to write for a magazine called Seventeen and now she has joined her uncle Rajeev Mehra to assist him in his home production LOC on Star Plus. She remarks, "I just thought of trying my hand at direction. In the future it would be of great help to me as one learns how to face the camera and also the technical aspects, which will help me in enhancing my acting skills too." Does that mean direction came easy to her? She says, "I have been really very lucky because I got everything on the platter. I am still at a stage where I am learning. To direct something all by me will not come so easily. We have a list of serials which are going to be produced by us, and I am definitely going to be part of it." Since she is still an adolescent, she has a lot to explore and experiment. But hasn't started preparing to act which ranges from getting portfolios to becoming conscious about the way she looks and enhance her acting skills. And there is still a long way for her to go. The serial believed to relaunch soon will feature rest of the original cast.
