Cockroach "love" in Star Plus' Meri Bhabhi

While some actors give a shot naturally, there are times when some have to really work hard for the right take. Recently, a similar case happened on the sets of Star Plus’ Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi…Meri Bhabhi (DJ’s A Creative Unit) where actors Kanchi Kaul and Ravish Dubey were to enact a scene with a cockroach around. Yes, you heard it right. And with a cockroach around on the sets, we are sure you would assume that Kanchi must have jumped on the couch on seeing it. But well you are absolutely wrong for the opposite happened while shooting the sequence. As Kanchi informs us, “The scene was really funny; I don’t know where they managed to get the cockroach from. But as soon as Ravish saw it, he was like- ‘What! Are we shooting with a real cockroach?’ It was so hilarious. Actually, he had to come as a saviour for me, and here was this man so scared of the cockroach himself.” “Ravish was really natural when he jumped on the couch scared on the sight of the cockroach and here I had to make efforts enacting the scene. But, on the whole, it was really fun shooting the sequence,” she adds. The scene will later develop into a romantic getaway when both will hug each other all thanks to the fright of the insect. Guess the cockroach was acting as a cupid! “The audience is actually enjoying the current romantic track between both of us and there is more to come. Also some interesting twists have been further lined up,” Kanchi ends.
