Colors replaces Drashti Dhami as a host on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

Drashti Dhami

Drashti Dhami is one of the most promising face of Indian television and her hosting Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa – 7 (BBC Worldwide Media) on Colors meant grabbing instant eyeballs given her extreme popularity. But hosting demands more than mere good looks or fan following and the actress lagged there.

Her usual charismatic persona that lightens up the small screen went missing this time on the reality show and not just the creatives and the channel, but also the aam janta noticed this.

Everyone hoped and prayed for Drashti to tighten her hosting reigns and when this did not happen over a period of three weeks she was shown the door by the channel. This development took place last night and the beautiful lass went on to tweet about the same in the morning.

While the contestants and choreographers on the show are unaware of her exit from the show Drashti has been bold enough to talk about it.

“It was communicated to me last nite by the channel that I was getting replaced. While it's unfortunate that my stint had to end so quick & abruptly, honestly I had a great time. Back on the Jhalak set where I truly belong. Nonetheless it's over for me now & I would like to wish all the contestants & the channel all the very best,” texted Drashti to Tellychakkar.com.

When asked if she has any knowledge about the person replacing her? She simply sent a smiley back.

With Drashti moving out of Jhalak and Madhubala coming to an end on 12 July 2014, we wonder if this would be the end of her association with Colors.

Interestingly the channel and creative team remained tight lipped about this development.

We will update you on more soon.
