In a 24 hour journey, when time is running out, when your loved ones are in danger, where do you go…who do you turn to…what do you choose? It is a race against time, where every second counts. Slated for an October launch, Colors showcased the first look of the highly anticipated trailer of its upcoming espionage series – 24, starring Anil Kapoor as ATU Chief Jai Singh Rathod at a suburban theatre in Mumbai.
For the first time ever on Indian television, a theatrical trailer launch of a television series has been conducted. The action-packed trailer that was unveiled offered a breathtaking glimpse of the thrilling show evoking feelings of patriotism leaving everybody on the edge of their seats.
With a story about this ATU Chief and his race against time, Colors promises viewers world-class quality in entertainment. With a unique real-time narration where a fictional story is told in a real world setting, in real time, viewers will be connected to every hour of Jai Singh Rathod’s battle against time. 24 will introduce the Indian audiences to a new hybrid genre of entertainment that sees an interesting amalgamation of fiction and reality.
The trailer establishes the formation of the ATU spearheaded by ATU Chief Jai Singh Rathod and the challenges that are thrown at the team with the growing threats to the nation. It then draws attention to a threat to the life of prime-ministerial candidate Aditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam). It is now ATU Chief’s and his trusted team’s responsibility to protect him. The trailer that flashes through several key sequences of a thrill-fest shows Jai Singh Rathod racing against time, where he is torn between the love for his family and his duty towards his country.
The trailer of 24 also reveals some of the key characters in the show playing pivotal roles and gives viewers a sneak-peak into the fast-paced, edgy, gritty and gripping drama. The show marks the television debut of the Bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor and is backed by a stellar cast comprising of Mandira Bedi, Neil Bhoopalam, Tisca Chopra, Anita Raaj, Ajinkya Deo to name a few. The show will also see interesting cameos by celluloid stars like Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, Rahul Khanna and Richa Chadda.
Providing action, thrill, suspense, drama and the exhilaration of solving complex cases in 24 hours, the show has been shot in various locales across Mumbai. 24 will have a fast-paced storyline featuring never-seen-before stunts, slick-edited sequences and high-definition recording.
