Mohona Films announced their array in the entertainment business with two extremely unconventional and creative short films – Bouma and Derma. Both these films are on concepts that are extremely intriguing.

Bouma based in Kolkata, showcases the Indian patriarchal society, how women are still kept indoors or away from another male’s attention and their desires. Also showcases the experiments that scientists undergo and their aftereffects on humans. A beautiful culmination of the two this film makes you root for the girl throughout. Main protagonist is played by Bidita Bag of Babumoshai Bandookbaz fame and a known Bengali actor Rajtava Dutta.

Derma a heart wrenching story of a lost youth and how his misdemeanor costs him his life. It’s about magic of the other side which made the wrongdoer pay for his sins. Barun Sobti is seen playing the main protagonist in this.

 Both the films have been directed by Debatma Mandal.

 Speaking about the films Rajiiv and Ronita Mitra added, “Mohonafilms, is a little company which has taken baby steps into content creation and production. We, Ronita and Rajiv are both creative and content oriented people, who wanted to see great content being made and taken to viewers. So it was an ecstatic feeling along with loads of emotions and sentiments attached. It is like a dream come true , especially so , as these two were our first projects and took almost a 18 months from curation to release stage. Our heartiest thanks to all who stood by us through thick and thin to make this dream come true.”
