TV actress Divyanka Tripathi felt like a princess recently. If you think this was because she received some special attention from a special someone in her life, than you are absolutely wrong. Divyanka Tripathi shot for a bilingual movie sometime back, where she plays a queen. “I play Rani Padmavati in the movie,” says Divyanka Tripathi. This movie will be named Lala Hardaul in Bundelkhandi and Chundri Odhasi Mahro Bir in Rajasthani. Not only this, the movie was shot in these two languages at once. “It was very difficult, because sometime I would speak in Rajashtani when I had to speak Bundelkhandi and vice versa,” says the actress who is currently seen in SAB TV’s Chintu Chinky Aur Ek Badi Si Love Story. Apart from the language, Divyanka had to be very careful with a lot of other things as well. “The regional audiences are very particular when it comes to royalty. So I had to be extremely careful about my clothes, my mannerisms, etc,” reveals the actress. Not only this, they are very particular about the way even servants are portrayed on screens, and “since I am playing a Rani, you can very well understand my plight,” says Divyanka. But with all the pains, Divyanka is praises for the movie: “I am extremely grateful as I got a chance to work in a movie.” This regional flick is based on the legendary folklore of Lala Hardaul of Bundelkhand. “The film is my tribute to my land (Madhya Pradesh),” signs off Divyanka.
