The most controversial swayamvar in the epic history will soon be depicted on the magnum opus show Mahabharat (Swastik Productions) on Star Plus.
Yes, we are talking about Draupadi’s (Pooja Sharma) dramatic swayamvar!!
Preparations for the D-day of the swayamvar are in full swing. The newly crowned prince of Hastinapur, Duryodhan (Arpit Ranka) has arrived along with his friend Karan (Ahem Sharma).
The winning contest as all know, will be to hit the rotating fish’s eye, which as per Lord Krishna (Saurabh Raaj Jain) can only be done by Karan and Arjun (Shaheer Sheikh). And he will tell Draupadi (who has already lost her heart to Arjun) that she can reject Karan’s alliance if she wants to. So when Karan will come up to compete, Draupadi will proclaim that she will not marry a ‘sootputra’ (carriage man’s son), thus insulting Karan.
A hurt and angry Karan, who is the Sun God’s child, will look up to the Sun and the whole arena will start heating up. But with Draupadi’s prayers, things will calm down but everyone will be curious as to how the swayamvar will get completed.
Just then, Arjun will make his entry in the disguise of a Brahmin. Knowing this, Draupadi will declare the swayamvar open for the Brahmins to participate too. This will be when Krishna will convince a rather hesitant Arjun to participate in the competition, and win Draupadi. And the talented warrior will strike the target, thus winning the swayamvar.
However, this will also open up his identity as Karan, Duryodhan and Shakuni (Praneet Bhatt) will recognize him to be Arjun.
What will the trio do now? Will they try to kill the Pandavas once again?
We tried reaching the cast, but they remained busy shooting.
Catch this interesting swayamvar sequence in Mahabharat this week.
