End of Gutthi's journey in Comedy Nights with Kapil...Sunil Grover hangs his boots?

The super popular figure from Colors’ highly rated rib-tickler, Comedy Nights with Kapil (K9 and SOL Productions), Gutthi, will no longer be seen in the show. The character played Sunil Grover, as per credible sources, has decided to move out of the project owing to monetary issues. Said the source: “Sunil’s character Gutthi has become very popular and he demanded a hike in his remuneration. But the production house and the channel did not budge to his demands. Hence as of now he has stopped shooting and it is unlikely that he will make a comeback in the show. He also has lot of other offers in his kitty.” For lovers of the serial, Gutthi and Palak’s (Kiku Sharda) histrionics endeared everyone. But questions were asked when Gutthi was not seen during last week’s episode. We tried reaching Sunil but he remained unavailable. We also left a text message to Kapil Sharma and co producer Fazila Allana but they did not respond till the time of filing the story. The moment we get further updates we shall update this space immediately. Let’s see if Sunil’s exit will affect the show in terms of ratings or not!!!
