Viewers of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo are aware of Sumitra’s (Rupa Ganguly) absence in the show. She’s apparently taken a break from the show for her new Bengali film. It is also heard the actress is planning to take a sabbatical from TV to chase her film career.
Says Rupa, “It is with a heavy heart I am forced to take a break from the show for some time. I have enjoyed playing Sumitra to the hilt. The cast too is like a second family to me so to divide my time between my Bengali film and this show gets very difficult as both roles are very creatively satisfying.” She adds, “There are date clashes between the film and the serial and I do hope that the writers will bring me back into the show whenever my dates permit.”
Sources say Sumitra’s character will be eased out of the show for some time. She will be shown going for a Char Dhaam yatra. Wonder what will happen to Loha Singh now?
