Hello everyone, this is Mahima Makhwana whom you all know as Rachna from Zee TV’s ongoing show Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke.
Today, I am here to brief you about myself.
To start with, let me tell you that I was born and raised in Mumbai where I completed my schooling and am now doing my graduation in Commerce through a correspondence course. I stay with my parents and elder brother here in this metropolis.
Since my childhood, I have participated in umpteen dramas and dance recitals. My mother was always keen to do television, but she could not pursue her dreams. Then she always wanted me to become an actor.
So to start with, I started giving auditions. Soon I started getting offers for advertisements and till date I have done around 15 to 20 advertisements. Along with my advertisement stints, my hunt for television shows was also on. After giving a couple of auditions, I got an opportunity to do my first TV show Mohe Rang De on Colors. Later, as a child artiste I did many shows like Balika Vadhu, CID, Aahat, Miley Jab Hum Tum, Jhansi Ki Rani, Sawaare Sabke Sapne – Preeto.
And after doing small roles, I finally got an opportunity to play the lead in Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke.
Summarising my journey, I think it is very difficult. Till Sapne Suhane… I had given more than 500 auditions. Initially there was a time when I totally gave up and thought of doing something else. But my mom knew that one day I will set a bench mark. And right now, I feel glad that I didn’t’ give up. All thanks to my mom for being with me constantly. Here I cannot stop without saying that it is very difficult to get a role. I am very happy to be part of Sapne Suhane…
On the personal front, I like dancing, cooking and reading books.
The most memorable day of my life was when I won a Zee Rishtay Award for favourite Behen in Sapne Suhane. I still remember my mom was in tears seeing me receiving an award. It was a proud moment for both of us.
So friends this is my journey in a nutshell. I hope you like me as Rachna. I would thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love and appreciation that have been my constant inspiration . This makes me work more. I promise to entertain you all.
Bye!
