Young actress Shreyosree Roy is excited to enact the role of an athlete in Aakash Aath’s athletic based soap 'Run Rony Run'

In the upcoming daily, Shreyosree will be seen as Ronita, who is both a swimmer and a runner.

Talking about her role, the actress said, “The name of my character is Ronita Mandal. She is known as Rony and hails from a poor family. The style of her walking and running is quite different from others. Her natural running style is like that of a sprinter.”

“She wants to see her family happy. She doesn’t mind skipping her own meal so that her brother and sister can have a proper meal,” she added.

Shreyosree, who will appear for her Madhyamik (10th class exam) in 2017, said that she had to take certain preparation to step into the shoes of the character of Rony.

“For this serial, I had to learn swimming. I also took training from Olympian Susmita Singha Roy for around two months. She taught me how to run,” said the actress.

She further added, “Apart from this, I have attended a workshop and saw a few sports films like Koni(Bengali), Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Hindi) and Azhar (Hindi).”

When quizzed if she follows any game for inspiration, she quipped, “I don’t follow any game in particular. I love Kabaddi and play this sport in school.”

“The good part of my training is that I lost some weight and have become fit,” she added with a smile.

Way to go, young girl.

Shreyosree has earlier acted in serials like Tobu Bandhi Khelaghar, Aamader Choto Nadi, and Dui Prithibi.
