Ishq Ka Rang Safed comes with a strong social message: Pratima Kannan

Pratima Kannan

Pratima Kannan is one name, who has surely scared us with her Naani act in Uttran. And now back again with the channel (Colors) and with the same production house (Film Farm) for the recently launched show Ishq Ka Rang Safed, the lady is surely having a good time.

Recently we caught up with Pratima, who is essaying the character of Indrani, the head in the Ashram, and asked her to share about her experience with us. Pratima commented, “Working once again with Colors and that too with a Film Farm project feels like to be back at home. Like Uttran, even this time the makers have come up with a strong social message”.

“This time the story is about a young widow, whose mother also met the same fate. The protagonist Dhaani is in her early twenties, who is well aware about all the enjoyment of life, is unfortunately not allowed to enjoy those. The story is very much touchy and surely will appeal to the masses”, added Pratima.

Why did you opt for this role? Pratima quipped, “We wanted to present a message to the society. These kinds of practices might not be common in the urban scenario, but it’s still existent in the interior parts. It’s our way to spread the message and I simply hope that the story will be able to inspire few souls and our efforts will not go in vein”.

Finally before signing off the veteran also stated, “Audiences have loved my character in Uttran and I simply hope that this time as well they will appreciate my attempt”.

We wish her all the best.
