It is difficult to be an antagonist in a Rajshri Productions show - Alefia Kapadia

Alefia Kapadia
Alefia Kapadia the main-vamp of the hit Star Plus show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara has been around in TV for quite a while. The lady has been seen in episodics like Star Best Sellers, Rishtey, CID, Hum Ne Li Hai.. Shapath etc. “I began as the sister of the lead in Sony TV’s Just Mohobbat. Then I did Daman on Sahara One.” The actress who is getting noticed big time for her vampish role of Latika in the Rajshri Productions show says, “It is difficult to be an antagonist, especially in a Rajshri show as one can’t go overboard in dressing or doing any stuff that goes against the Indian culture. Hence it is indeed a challenge to bring out the evilness. But then I love to take up the tough task and do it with all finesse.” The lady gets quite a lot of hate mails. “When I go out people also accost me and demand to know why I am as evil as Latika. I guess that is the flip side of success,” she reasons. “But luckily things are now changing and many people are also able to distinguish the difference between the actor and the character. So folks do come forward and tell me that while they hate what Latika is doing on screen, they love Alefia’s performance as well,” she adds. Talking about the whole show per se, Alefia feels that, “What makes the story of Pyaar Ka Dard click is the pacey nature of its narrative. In every episode we deal with two or three themes simultaneously which keeps the interest of the audiences alive.” Ask her how she would react if someone just like Latika encountered her in real life, she states, “Well, I am not a person who will lose cool. So I think I will be able to give it back keeping my dignity intact much like how Pankhuri (Disha Parmar) does in the show. I relate a lot with her character.” Alefia, keep up your good work!!
