From My Childhood To Yours Children are a replica of their parents aren't they? Sometimes the smallest of their habits can take you back to your own childhood. As a child whenever I would go to my home town Ujjain, I would be so excited to meet my grandparents that all I would keep asking my father was how many days till we go, how many hours, how many minutes, how many seconds? And this question would continue daily and even after our train to Ujjain would reach its destination, on our way in the tanga to my dadi’s house, I would ask how many minutes till we reach, how many seconds? And my father would patiently calculate every second and answer my repetitive questions every single time. And my gosh, only if I knew I would be seeing a mirror image of me someday asking the SAME questions! It didn't hit me right away but I realized it on our most recent summer vacation to Indore and Ujjain when from the day Sammy found out we were going the same questions started - how many days, how many hours, how many minutes, how many seconds! Talk about what goes around comes around, well I could see where this was coming from! Must say genes pass down and how Yet, sometimes I wonder as children while there maybe many similarities we see in our offspring but as parents can we ever be like our parents? As we grow up, we change and with generations the levels of patience for example have been diminishing. After answering her questions for a couple of times I passed on the question to my dad because he’s already a PRO at it. And I admire my parents as my dad still answers the same questions for Sammy that he did for me over three decades ago. I learn daily as a parent as I observe the love, care and guidance they give to my daughter and their grand daughter. Sammy from my childhood to yours while there are many similarities, but the one difference is that your mom is still 'under construction' as a parent. I'm constantly learning from your grandparents and from other parents too but most of the time also from you. #ParentingBlog #Childhood #Momslife #SingleParenting #FromMyChildhoodToYours #MommyBlogger #Blogging #MomStories

Actress Kritika Kamra, who has made her Bollywood debut with the Gujarat-set film Mitron, says she found Ahmedabad very cool.

"Ahmedabad also has a cool set of cafes and places where you could go, read a book, hang out at places... They have great street food too. I didn't expect Ahmedabad to be so cool," added the actress, who shares screen space with Jackky Bhagnani in Mitron.

Ayush Anand speaks on Jaya Pradha!

Actor Ayush Anand is on cloud nine! The actor, who is working with veteran actor Jaya Prada in his show Perfect Pati, says that he is learning a lot from the latter. “I am so grateful, blessed, privileged and lucky to work with Jaya ma’am. It's a pleasure to work with her. My favourite film of hers is Maa and Akhri Rasta. There is so much to learn from her and the way she acts,” he says.

“I am learning every second from her, not only as an actor but also as a human being. She is so humble and down to earth. She takes care of each and every one on set, from the direction team to production team to fellow actors…everyone. She is the first one to do rehearsals which shows her dedication towards her work. She is an inspiration,” he adds.

In fact, having her on the sets is making Ayush perform better as well. “Your performance goes to another level when you are doing a scene with good actors because acting is reacting and being true to emotions. Jaya ma’am is a very natural actor and I believe that makes my performance and reactions come out naturally as well. I hope the audience also sees that on screen,” he says.

Meanwhile, Ayush, who has been seen in shows such as Ishqbaaz, Tu Sooraj, Main Saanhj Piyaji, is grateful to everyone who has contributed to him getting this big break in the industry. “I will give credit to my angels, my ancestors and their blessings and support from family and loved ones.
