With the introduction of guru Dronacharya, the trainer of the princes, Mahabharat (Swastik Productions), the grand-scale show on Star Plus, will now see a new phase in the epic saga. As seen in the previous episode, young Duryodhan had tried to poison Bheem with the help of his uncle Shakuni (Praneet Bhatt). But returning from the dead, Bheem will now inform his family that it was his cousin who poisoned him. His astounded mother, Kunti (Shafaq Naaz) will decide to leave the palace along with her children but she will be stopped by the elders. As a consequence to what happened, an enraged Bhism (Arav Chaudhary) will announce that Duryodhan should be punished for his ill deed. He will ask King Dhrithrashtra (Thakur Anoop Singh) to call the nyaya samiti (justice group) to decide on the right punishment for his son. But the king, being too fond of his son, will request Bhism to forgive Duryodhan saying that he will take the punishment on his behalf. This is when Bhism will declare that since the father-son bond is too strong, he will separate them as a punishment. He orders that the Kaurava and the Pandava lot will have to go away from the kingdom and educate themselves in the ashram of guru Dronacharya. The thought of the 12 year separation will initially hurt Dhrithrashtra so much that he will not want his son to go but bearing the consequences of his son’s mistake, the king will finally relent. It is from here that the journey of the princes and their learning of their extraordinary skills will begin.
