Colors will be unleashing three new shows in the first week of June 2014, of which Guruodev Bhalla and Dhawal Gada’s upcoming show seems to be big in terms of its unique concept.
Guroudev Bhalla, who was earlier part of Walkwater Productions’ Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya will now launch this show under his own banner, Guruodev Bhalla Productions. His partner will be Dhawal Gada, son of the noted Jayantilal Gada of Pen India Pvt. Ltd.
Titled ‘Mohar’, the show will focus on few kids in a village in UP going through bonded labour at the hands of the rich feudal landlords in the village.
Tellychakkar.com has exclusive information on noted veteran actress Suhasini Mulay playing a very important role in the show. Also, returning to small screen after his powerful portrayal in Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan on Zee TV will be Kiran Karmarkar. Another ace performer Lubna Salim has also been finalized to essay an important role.
Suhasini Mulay who is presently seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Desh Ki Beti Nandini will play the eldest lady in the family of the rich landlords who would believe in the feudal system. However, the lady will be a Gandhian to the core.
When contacted, Suhasini did confirm the news saying, “Yes, I will be seen in the new Colors show. But I do not have any other details to talk about as of now.”
Kiran Karmarkar told us, “I do not know anything about the show you are talking about.”
We could not get through to Lubna who has been part of noted shows Baa Bahu Aur Baby, Ek Packet Umeed, Mera Naam Karegi Roshan.
To play the kids, talks are presently on with Spandan Chaturvedi of Veera fame and Prithvi Sankhla.
We tried talking to Producer Guruodev Bhalla, but could not get through to him.
We dropped a text message to Prashant Bhatt, Fiction Head, Colors but did not receive any revert.
This show Mohar will in all probability replace the long-running show Uttaran in June.
