Manasi Salvi is happy with her work in television and regional films

Manasi Salvi
Actress Manasi Salvi has been playing prominent roles in television for the last 14 years and her notable shows include Aashirwaad, Koi Apna Sa, Viraasat, Pavitra Rishta and the more recent Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. However, the amazing and surprising aspect is that Manasi is playing a mother for the first time in her career in Star Plus and Rajshri Productions’ show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. Interesting, isn’t it? Manasi actually tells us, “Well, if you had asked me to play a mother six months back, I would not have done it. But now I am ready to take it up. And the best part about my character Avantika in Pyaar Ka Dard.. is that she has lots of interesting shades and is not only a crying mother. She has gone through her own issues in life and has from then been devoted to her career. She wants the best of things for her son Aditya (Nakull Mehta).” Manasi feels that her look in the show has made her character more relatable. “I am glad that I am not been made to adorn halters but wearble saris, and even the jewelry is not over-the-top. I thank my stylist for designing smart costumes for me.” The actress who has a daughter in real life does not appreciate women coming out of marriages. “Even I find it tough to balance house, my kid and my daily show but one has to put in that extra bit of effort. You will have to try and make up for the lost hours by showering more attention in the limited time you have. The biggest losers from broken marriages are the kids who need attention of both parents, just like my on-screen son Adi who has no respect for the institution of marriage.” On the rating of Pyaar Ka Dard… Manasi states, “After a slow start (1.5), we are now picking up in numbers (2.5). We need to rise up to at least 3.0.” Manasi who has been part of many Marathi films confides in us that she does not wish to do any Hindi flicks. “That was one promise that my Director husband Hemant Prabhu took from me when we got married seven years back. I am very happy with my work in TV and regional films. He has promised that the day he makes a big Hindi film, I will definitely walk the red carpet along with him.” Manasi, we wish you all the very best..
