Meher Vij returns to television with Yeh Hai Aashiqui

Meher Vij
Actress Meher Vij who recently featured in the short film Pied Piper, produced by Rajita Sharma’s Magic Lantern Productions which was premiered at various film festivals, will now be seen making a comeback to television with an episodic for Lost Boy Productions and BBC Worldwide Productions’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui, on Disney Bindass. Meher will play a girl working in a call-centre in Gurgaon, Delhi who has a defective scar very much visible on her body. The girl has grown up to be very conscious of her defect, and is under-confident of having a good future. However, life takes a turn when a boy who often calls her at the call-centre falls for her even without seeing her. The story will then revolve around the girl and her inhibitions, and on whether the boy will accept her even with her short comings. We hear that this particular story has been inspired from a real-life love story that happened in Jalandhar wherein a girl working at Karan Kundra’s call centre fell in love with a person without seeing him. When contacted, Meher who was last seen in Ram Milayi Jodi and has played an important role in Kis Desh Main Hai Mera Dil told us, “Yes, I have started shoot for the episodic. It is a very nice story, and the best part about Yeh Hai Aashiqui is that it deals with unconventional love stories.” Meher who recently shot for a Punjabi movie along with actor husband Manav Vij is all set for a return to fiction shows too. “Yes, I am looking for good roles now. I will want to be back soon with a daily soap.” The actor to be paired opposite Meher in Yeh Hai Aashiqui is yet to be finalized.
