Merging reel and real: Producer Asit Modi gifts Taarak Mehta kids a cool summer vacation

How many times does it happen that actors wish to do something in their personal life and end up having their wishes fulfilled? That is exactly what happened with the kids of SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Telefilms). Bhavya Gandhi (Tapu) and his friends on the sets, Kush Shah (Goli), Samay Shah (Goggi), Tarun Uppal (Pinku) and Jheel Mehta (Sonu), who are currently enjoying their summer vacation away from school, wanted to go for an outing in real life. When Producer of the show Asit Modi learnt of this, he decided to incorporate the same in the storyline of the serial. Bhavya Gandhi, “We all were planning to join some summer camp to have fun. No sooner than we discussed this, our director informed us that there would be a track rolled out where we would be visiting the summer camp. We had a lot of fun experiencing tree-climbing, rope-climbing and understanding flora and fauna.” The entire team is currently enjoying shooting in Bhavan’s College in Andheri.
