Colors is all set to bring in some minor programming changes with the much-awaited Anil Kapoor’s 24 going on air from 4 October 2013.
As reported earlier, 24 will air every Friday and Saturday from 10 to 11 pm. Thus, the shows that are currently airing at this slot will not be aired on these two days, according to our source.
Let’s have a look at the shows that air from 10 to 11 on Fridays – Well its Filmfarm India’s Uttaran (10 to 10:30 pm) and Mystic Productions’ Bani- Ishq Da Kalma (10:30 to 11 pm). While on Saturday its K9 productions’ Comedy Nights With Kapil.
It’s already known that Comedy Nights With Kapil will air just on Sundays from this week to make way for 24.
So what happens to Uttaran and Bani?
“Both the shows will air from Monday to Thursday, with their Friday slot being given to 24,” said a source.
But, this does not mean that the actors of these shows will get an extra off. Why do we say so?
“There is hardly going to be any change as far as production of these episodes is concerned, as now the shows will be aired for 25 minutes on a given day when compared to 20 minutes earlier. The advertisements which used to air for 10 minutes earlier, will be aired for only five minutes now,” said another source.
We tried contacting Damini Shetty and Rupali Guha but they remained unavailable for comment.
We also texted Prashant Bhatt - Fiction Head, Colors, but he did not revert.
