Palak Jain talks about her exit from The Buddy Project

The social networking sites have been abuzz with fans’ dissatisfaction with the news of Palak Jain moving out of the popular youth show The Buddy Project Season 2. The popular Sunshine Productions’ show on Channel [V] is all set to come up with a fresh new season from next month which will not have Palak’s character Panchi anymore. With requests from fans pouring to know more about what prompted her exit from the show, we called up Palak and here is what she had to say to all her fans. “Well, it’s the channel and production house that took the decision. Although I am sad about it, the third season doesn’t demand Panchi’s character and that is why I will no longer be a part of the show. But I am sure the third season will also be a great one and viewers will enjoy the same,” said Palak. And isn’t she sad about parting with the show? “Of course I am. I have been part of the serial from the start and it’s obviously sad to step out. But as I said, the season does not demand Panchi and it would have looked odd to just have the character for the heck of it.” “For more than one and a half years, I have been part of the show and it was quite shocking and saddening but that’s how life is. Also TV shows work that way and script changes can lead to this scenario. Also everyone in the team is very special and I am going to miss all of them a lot,” averred the bubbly girl. When asked about her next plan, Palak shared, “I am doing BMM and my exams are about to knock on my doors. I am concentrating on my studies for the moment and will only take up anything else post my exams.” Finally, Palak had a message for all her fans- “You guys are all very special for me and I am sorry that you won’t get to see me in the coming season of The Buddy Project. But I’ll be back soon, till then miss me. Love you all.” We wish Palak a great future ahead!
