Pandu to be coronated in Star Plus' Mahabharat; time for Pandavas to be born

Mahabharat
The magnum opus show on Star Plus, Mahabharat (Swastik Productions) has been garnering quite a lot of eyeballs with its magnificent sets and spectacular performances. And as the epic saga is slowly unfolding, the magic of this engrossing tale is mounting. As seen in the last episodes, Dhritrashtra (Anoop Singh Thakur) could not get to his dream of achieving the throne because of his blindness. And now in tonight’s episode his younger brother Pandu (Arun Rana) will be coronated much to the dismay of Dhritrashtra. The shattered prince will be consoled by his newly wedded wife Gandhari. Her parents King Subal (Rio Kapadia) and Sudharma (Vibha Anand) will decide to leave Hastinapur since their dream of seeing their daughter as the queen will not be able to be fulfilled. But the dutiful brother Shakuni (Praneet Bhatt) will stab his own legs to share the hurt of his sister Gandhari and will decide to stay back with her. He will also go ahead and brain wash Dritrashtra against his own family and plan up a trick to make him the king. As preparations will be on for Pandu to take the throne, Dhritrashtra will deliberately ask how an unmarried person can become the king. To this Bheeshm (Arav Chaudhary) and Satyavati (Sayantani Ghosh) will decide to get Pandu married. And with this the entry of Kunti played by Shafaq Naaz will be seen. The lady will be seen giving birth to a baby (Karna) by invoking the Sun god after she gets a boon from the sage Durvasa. Scared of losing her chastity, she will let the baby float away. And here Pandu will take his sister-in-law Gandhari’s blessing and head towards Kunti’s palace for the Swayamvar. With this marriage the birth of the Pandavas will come, and the real story of Mahabharat will unfold. Everyone knows what happens next, but nevertheless enjoy the maha saga.
