A royal wedding on Sony TV's Desh Ki Beti Nandini

Desh Ki Beti Nandini
Indian Television will soon witness a grand royal wedding of Rajveer (Rafi Malik) and Nandini (Keerti Nagpure) on Sony Entertainment Television’s political saga Desh Ki Beti Nandini (Rashmi Sharma Productions). And this wedding will become a typical royal affair with ace designer Riyaz Gangji designing the wedding costumes for the gorgeous couple. And now a shocker- The intricately designed costumes for the wedding will cost a whooping Rs. 75 lakh. The Lehenga and Sherwani are the highlights as it took almost three months to craft them as they have been adorned with fresh white water pearls and zardosi. While to create the impact of cutwork, the fabric has been hand cut. The style of the Sherwani and the Lehenga is iconic and it's possible to find these pieces only in the museums of Jaipur. The Sherwani's specially created to be worn while riding a horse or an elephant. These cuts are what actual Maharajas and Maharanis used to wear during their high profile weddings. Speaking about the costumes, Riyaz said, “This is probably one of the best works of my wife Reshma (her wife is also a part of it) and my team Libas and the result is there for everyone to see. The rich quality of these handcrafted costumes has never been seen before on Indian television and it will be remembered for a long time.” An excited Kirti also quips, “I feel like a true rajkumari (princess) and this is definitely a dream wedding for Nandini.” On the other hand, Rafi said, “I am speechless seeing this costumes, although it was tiring shooting with these heavy clothes, but of course it’s a once in life time experience.” Here's wishing Rajveer and Nandini a very happy married life.
