First time in the history, a reality show has got an extension!

The number one show on Indian television, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs has been a game changer for Zee TV. The kids based singing reality show which started with 12 contestants has now got their final top 5 contestants.

Zee TV has now re-invented the format and has introduced five new challengers in the series. These new contestants will now give takkar to the talented top 5 li’l champs.

Alongwith the appreciation from mass, this non-fiction project became the talk of the town after a controversial statement by Bollywood’s famous director Shoojit Sircar.

The man with a vision Shoojit, who is very much active on his Twitter account, recently tweeted, “Humble request to authorities to urgently ban all reality shows involving children. It's actually destroying them emotionally & their purity.”

Shoojit’s single tweet went viral and became a hot topic of discussion in TV and Bollywood industry.

Today, at the press meet of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs, the panel (Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar, Javed Ali and Aditya Narayan) were asked to share their reaction on Shoojit’s appeal to ban kids’ reality show.

Judge Himesh said, “Kids were asked if they wish to continue in the show and we are not forcing them.” Agreeing to Himesh, Neha mentioned, “Life is all about competition. When they can handle challenges at this young age then they can surely have a successful career.”

While Javed averred, “Legends Lata Mangeshkar, Sachin Tendulkar and others started their career at a very young age. If they had not begun from an early age they wouldn’t have been here.”

Lastly, Aditya added, “Children are capable of exploring and are always open to new challenges.”
