KOLKATA: Here’s some good news for all Bengali film buffs who love to watch new movies on television! The upcoming film to premier on Zee Bangla Cinema is Gupi Gayen.  
Zee Bangla Cinema Originals’ Gupi Gayen will narrate the story of a guy named Gupi, who has a born talent of singing. Gupi has a legacy of singing in his family. His grandfather was a well-known classical singer. His father too was a great singer, but he failed to earn recognition in his life and died in his early age. The whole anger and frustration of Gupi’s mother fall upon the singing career of his father and she decided to not allow his son to sing ever. However, a 15 year-old Gupi can’t ignore his inner voice, he often asks his mother as to why he can’t sing, but he gets no proper answer from her. Amidst this, Gupi meets the ghost of his grandfather who asks him to sing. Will Gupi establish himself as a singer? To know what is in store for Gupi, you will have to watch the tale.

The cast of the film includes Rwitobroto Mukherjee, Aparajita Adhya, Saswata Chatterjee, and Sabyasachi Chakraborty amongst others. Raajdeep Ghosh has helmed the film and Saikat Chattopadhyay is its music director.

Gupi Gayen will be premiered on 24 March at 1 pm on Zee Bangla Cinema.
