Shalini Chandran to feature in Zee TV's Fear Files

Shalini Chandran, who rose to fame through her portrayal of the young Maithli in Balaji Telefilms’ popular show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, will be seen in an upcoming story of Zee TV’s Fear Files – Darr Ki Sacchi Tasveerein. The girl’s last stint in a daily soap was Looteri Dulhann on Imagine. However, she has been regularly doing episodic roles in Savdhan India, Haunted Nights, Hum Ne Li Hai.. Shapath among other shows. Now the talented actress will play a devoted mother to a small kid, who would do anything to save her kid in the story of Fear Files. Playing the role of Urmila, the lady will meet trouble when she will visit her elder sister (essayed by Arpana Aggarwal) in the village. Her naughty son will be abducted by a ‘chudail’ (witch) and the story will revolve around the mother’s fight to get back her son. The shoot for the particular story kick-starts from today. When contacted, Shalini told us, “Yes, I am shooting for Fear Files for Zee TV. This phase of life is smoother when compared to the tough schedule of daily soaps. Otherwise, I am happy and contented doing commercial ads, the recent one being one with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan for Complan. I would want to return to the daily soap scenario, but with a challenging role.” On the Fear Files shoot, she said, “My little son will get kidnapped owing to a certain paranormal activity in the village. The story will be the fight of the lady to get her son back.” Shalini has recently shot for a Hindi movie which is a horror cum thriller subject. Talking about it, she averred, “All I can say at the moment is that the movie is produced by Shootstring Productions. I play one of the leads in the movie. It is the story of a doctor and the three women in his life, with of course the horror element being prominent. The film is expected to release this March (2014).” We wish you luck, Shalini.
