Shubhangi Atre Poorey replaces Shilpa Shinde in SAB TV's Chidiya Ghar

Shilpa Shinde as the chirpy Koyal entertained viewers for quite some time in SAB TV’s popular show, Chidiya Ghar (Garima Productions). But now, with Shilpa stepping out of the show, the channel and production house were on the lookout for a popular face to essay the important role in the show. We now hear that the charming and beautiful actress Shubhangi Atre Poorey who was last seen in Colors’ Havan in a negative role has been roped in to play Koyal. The actress starts shoot from today (26 March 2013) and her entry will be aired very soon. When contacted, Shubhangi confirmed the news to Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, this is a surprise to my fans. I will soon enter Chidiya Ghar as Koyal. After doing serious characters and being part of family dramas, I tried the hardcore negative character in Havan. Post this, a comic role was on my mind and when Ashwini ji (Dhir) gave me a call to offer me the role of Koyal, I was apprehensive about doing comedy. Having said this, monotony sets in when we keep doing the same roles. So as an actor, I wanted to give this role a try.” Talking about Shilpa, Shubhangi said, “Shilpa (Shinde) is a beautiful and talented actor. She gave quite a lot to the role and even if I try hard, I cannot match her. Also individuals differ and I will not want to imitate Shilpa. I have come to the set today with no such preparations, let us see how it goes.” On her introductory sequence that she shot today, Shubangi stated, “Well, it was a very interesting scene and Ashviniji himself directed it. I will not want to reveal much though; all I will say is that viewers will get to see Shubhangi in a totally different look and role.
