Sid Makkar to play the central role in Epic TV's historical, Gariba Diaries

Epic TV, India’s first genre specific Hindi entertainment channel is all set to conquer our living rooms wherein the content of shows will be set against the backdrop of Indian history, folklore and mythology in a contemporary format. Epic which is all set to launch sometime in August (2013) as we know, will air Ekta Kapoor’s Dharamshetra which will take the story forward post the war between the Pandavas and Kauravas. Now, we at Tellychakkar.com have information on yet another show that is being made for Epic. Titled Gariba Diaries, this historical produced by Kapil Mattoo – who has earlier produced a film 404 – will date back to the 18thcentury wherein the male protagonist will solve cases that come to him. We hear that actor Sid Makkar of Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan fame will play the central role, that of the person who is well-equipped to solve the cases. The casting for the show is presently on. We tried calling Sid Makkar, but we could not reach through to him. Our efforts to get in touch with Mahesh Kamat, who is heading Epic Television proved futile. Watch this space for more updates.
